STEPHEN SNOW, D.D.S. APPOINTED TO EDITORIAL BOARD OF "DEAR DR."
Dr. Snow provide expertise for a new dental journal for patients and pens a feature for the inaugural issue
Danville, CA; November 11, 2010— Snow Dental Care was selected as one of only 15 offices in the United States to participate in a landmark study by the University of California San Francisco to establish protocols for the more effective prevention of dental decay. This important study is sanctioned by the National Institute of Health.
While routine professional prophylaxis and fluoride treatments can help prevent tooth decay, also known as dental caries, research has shown that the aggressiveness of bacteria in dental plaque can vary between patients. The purpose of the study, which will continue for two years, is to develop treatment recommendations that address the unique needs of patients who are more susceptible to decay. Snow Dental Care patients will participate in the study and will benefit from the development of the advanced patient-specific protocol for decay prevention.
